Wheat Flour Dumplings with Egg Yolks (Thong Ek) - Another Thai dessert that seem difficult to find nowadays. Because it takes much time to make. The main ingredients are wheat flour, egg yolks, sugar and coconut milk. Stirred until thick and pressed into a mold. Sometimes there is a kind of gold placed on the top before smoke with candle. Thong-ek is a popular sweets in propitious ceremony.

For 20-25 pieces

1. Wheat flour (red lotus) 1/2 cup
2. 6 Egg yolks
3. Sugar 3/4 cup
4. 1 cup Coconut milk (Coconut milk 3/4 cup + water 1 cup)

1. Put wheat flour, sugar and 1/2 coconut milk. Stir with a spatula until sugar dissolve.  Mix egg yolk with remaining 1/2 coconut milk, pour down and stir to combine. Filter and then pour in brass pan. Stir every time before set over low heat. Stir slowly in a circle. When the mixture begins to thicken up. Stirred slowly up and down.
2.
