Steamed Sago with Mung Bean Filling - Kanom Kai Nok Kra Sa (Thai Traditional Dessert) - Traditional dessert that made from golden bean (mung bean) that look like bird egg. In the past, sprinkle with ‘Kee - Loh’ oil while serving. But nowadays we use coconut milk instead Kee - Loh oil. This dessert is delicious and chewy!

Cooking time: 60 minutes

Dough
1. 250 grams Small sago
2. 200 grams Warm water

Filling
1. 1 cup Mung bean
2. 100 grams Palm sugar
3. 1 Tsp. Grounded salt
4. 1 Tbsp. Coriander root, grounded pepper , garlic (pounded)
5. 40 grams Shallot
6. Vegetable oil

Dough
1. Rinse sago and pour sago in a mixing bowl. Pour warm water and mix thoroughly with hands. Then cover with white cloth.

Filling 
1. Heat the pan. Add the oil, follow by the pounded coriander root, garlic and pepper. Then add palm sugar and salt. Simmer until melted. Gradually add bean and stir until thick. Then add onion and mold like bird egg. 
2. Wrap sago with the filling. Then place on steaming pot for about 5 minutes. Serve with coconut milk.
