Thung- Thong (Thai Money Bag)

Toong - Thong, - This menu is Thai’s light meal that always serve on ceremony. But it quite hard to find to eat for now because their method is hard to do and take a time to make this menu. But I can quarantine that you will not waste the time for making this light meal at all.




1. 1 Tsp. Coriander Root (Finely chopped)
2. 1 Tsp. Garlic (Finely chopped)
3. 1/2 Tsp. Sugar
4. 1 Tsp. Sesame Oil
5. 1 Tsp. Soy Sauce
6. 1/2 Tsp. Pepper
7. 50 grams Dice Water Chestnuts
8. 50 grams Pork 
9. 50 grams Chopped Shrimp
10. Spring Rolls Flour
11. 5 Spring Onions (blanched in hot water until soften)
12. 1 Liter Palm Oil

1. Mix shrimp, minced pork, coriander root, garlic, sesame oil, soy sauce, sugar, and pepper powder together.
2. Add water chestnut mix well together with all ingredients.
3. Cut half spring onion for tie bags.
4. Spoon filling into the center of flour. Crimp around the dough and tied with spring onion tightly.
5. Heat oil. Fry Thung-Thong until golden and crispy. (Dim heat to medium heat).
6. When finish frying, set aside to drain. Served with plum sauce. Finished.
