Stir-Fried Rice Vermicelli / Kanom Jeen Phad - Stirred-Fried Rice Noodle or ‘Kao-Mee’, ‘Kua-Mee’ is a light dish of the North of Thailand, with roasting or frying rice noodle with vegetable oil. The main ingredients include cane juice, black soy sauce. Eat together with pickled cabbage and pork cracklings.

For 1 person

1. Rice noodle
2. Fried garlic 1 Tbsp.
3. 3 Cloves garlic
4. Spring onion
5. Dark soy sauce 1/3 cup
6. Sugar cane 2 Tbsp.
7. Water 4 Tbsp.
8. Salt 1/2 Tsp.
1. Peel and pound garlic. Melt sugar cane with black soy sauce and with a little salt (may not include all).
2. Open medium-high heat to set the pan. Add oil just a little, follow with garlic and rice noodle. Mix together with sauce until dry. It will change to dark brown noodle.
3. Add fried garlic and mix well together.  Turn off the heat, put on plate, sprinkle with spring onion and fried garlic. Eat together with pickle lettuce and pork cracklings.

1. Rice noodle
2. Fried garlic 1 Tbsp.

How to Cook Stir-Fried Rice Vermicelli / Kanom Jeen Phad
