Banana in syrup (Kluay Khai Chuam) - Banana in syrup is a traditional Thai dessert which not difficult to do. It’s sweet and delicious. Thai dessert lover don’t miss to try this menu.

Banana in syrup (Kluay Khai Chuam) - Banana in syrup is a traditional Thai dessert which not difficult to do. It’s sweet and delicious. Thai dessert lover don’t miss to try this menu.
1. 5 bananas (Not too ripe)
2. Pandan.
3. 3 cups of Water
4. 150 ml. Coconut Milk
5. 200 g. Sugar
6. 1/2 Tsp. Salt
7. Maize flour
8. 1 Sliced Lemon
1. Add coconut milk into the pan, followed by salt and heat to boil.
2. Dissolve the corn flour with water. Fill coconut milk and always stir until the mixture thickens up. Finished topping.
3. Peel bananas. Then soaked in water to avoid black bananas.
4.  Add water, sugar, pandan leaves and heat it to boiling.
5. Then put the banana in syrup. Takes about 10-15 minutes.
6. Squeeze lime juice into the syrup. (for prevent crystallization) Dressing with coconut milk for the last. Ready for serving.


Use medium heat to boil to prevent mushy bananas.
