Short Crust Pastry (Pang Pie Ruan) - Short Crust Pastry can be made in different types of pie. Such as corn pie, pineapple pie, or spinach pies and many more. It’s not too difficult to make. You can try with this step.

Short Crust Pastry (Pang Pie Ruan) - Short Crust Pastry can be made in different types of pie. Such as corn pie, pineapple pie, or spinach pies and many more. It’s not too difficult to make. You can try with this step.
1. 1,000 g. All Purpose Flour
2. 1/2 Tbsp. Baking Powder
3. 400 g. Unsalted Butter (cut into dice)
4. 2 Eggs
5. 150 g. Icing
6. 300 ml. Cold Water
7. 1 Tbsp. Salt
1. Mix flour, salt, Icing, and baking powder well together in a mixing bowl.
2. Add the butter and mix with flour. Using the chopped butter, mix until mixture starts to hold the other.
3. Make a hole in the middle of the flour. Put eggs into it and mix gently.
4. Add cool water gradually until the dough starts conglomerate. Then collects the dough and cover it by the plastic wrap. Leave in the fridge for 30 minutes.
5. Thresh flour smoothly about 15 minutes.
6. Apply white butter in a print cup. Roll the dough in the shape of thin sheets and then put into a cup.
7. Cut off the excess flour. Jab all over pie with fork. Use Plastic rap cover it and leave in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
8.  Bake pie at 200 degrees for 30 minutes. Ready to use.


Before baking, you should leave it cool for a while, otherwise the dough will shrink and distort.
