Salted Crispy Pastry - Krob Kem (Thai Appetizer) - Krob Kem is another great Thai appetizer that similar to ‘Krong Krang’ which different in the flour mixture and taste. Krob Kem has salty and sweet mellow flavor with shiny sugar-coated and fragrant of pounded ingredient.

Salted Crispy Pastry - Krob Kem (Thai Appetizer) - Krob Kem is another great Thai appetizer that similar to ‘Krong Krang’ which different in the flour mixture and taste. Krob Kem has salty and sweet mellow flavor with shiny sugar-coated and fragrant of pounded ingredient.
Serve: 3-4 person
Cooking time: 45 minutes

1. 2 cups All purpose flour
2. 1 Egg
3. 1/2 Tsp. Salt
4. 1/2 cup Fresh coconut milk
5. 1/4 cup of Lime stone
6. Vegetable oil

Coating sugar
1. 1 Tbsp. Coriander root, garlic, pepper (pounded together)
2. 3 Tbsp. Sugar
3. 2 Tbsp. Vegetable oil
4. 1/4 cup Palm sugar
5. 1-2 Tbsp. Fish sauce
6. 1/4 cup of Water
1. Mix egg, coconut milk, lime stone together (use only egg yolk).
2. Mix wheat flour with salt. Then gradually add mixture1. Knead until soft and set aside the dough.
3. Roll the dough and cut into piece. (Or twist as shape)
4. Fry in hot oil over medium heat until cook and set aside.
5. Heat the pan, add oil and fry with palm sugar, salt, sugar, fish sauce and water. Stir together until combine. Turn off stove, then mix with dessert. Set aside to cool on a tray before serving.
